Glen Corran is an independent distillery on the Malt Whisky Trail, floor-malting its own barley and distilling in copper pot stills between Craigellachie and Aberlour. Come for a tour, stay for a dram.
Welcome to Glen Corran
Since 1887 we have made whisky the slow way on the banks of the Corran Burn, a mile and a half from Craigellachie bridge. We still turn our own barley by hand, ferment for sixty hours and run four copper pot stills shaped exactly as the originals.
Scottish barley, turned by hand on our own malting floor.
Soft water off the hills, filtered through granite and peat.
Four stills, slow-run for a clean, fruity spirit.
The whiskies
From our honeyed ten-year-old to a single sherry cask hand-filled at the warehouse door. Move your pointer over a bottle to catch the light.
From barley to bottle
Every Glen Corran passes through the same five stages, all under one roof beside the River Spey.

£18Sit among the casks in our oldest warehouse and taste four whiskies, including one drawn straight from the cask with a valinch.
£45Spend time with our stillman at the spirit safe, learn how we make the cut, then fill and label your own 20cl bottle from a cask of your choice.
£95A guided walk along the Corran Burn to where it meets the River Spey, with a Highland picnic and a tasting on the riverbank (May to September).
£65The angels' share
Our casks rest in low stone dunnage warehouses with earth floors, where the cool, damp Speyside air slows maturation. Each year about two per cent drifts away through the oak. We call it the angels' share, and we think it is a fair price.
“You cannot hurry a cask. You can only give it a good home and wait.”
