A day at Balmoran

How a Balmoran wedding day unfolds

Every couple writes their own timeline. This is the shape most of our summer weddings take.

  1. Getting ready

Hair, make-up and a quiet dram in the Keeper's House while the estate team set the garden.

  2. The ceremony

Vows beneath the rose arch with your humanist celebrant, registrar or minister, and a piper to walk you in.

    Walled Garden

  3. Confetti & bagpipes

Petal confetti down the grass walk, then photographs in the glasshouse and down by the loch.

  4. Drinks on the lawn

Canapés, lawn games and a Perthshire gin bar while the light turns gold.

  5. Wedding breakfast

Long tables in the Great Hall, local beef and Tay salmon, and speeches by the fire.

Questions couples ask

Before you fall in love with the place

Yes. Humanist weddings are legally recognised in Scotland and are one of the most popular choices for our couples. You can marry in the Walled Garden, the Great Hall, the Loch-side Pavilion or the Bothy, and we can introduce you to independent celebrants who know the estate well. Civil, religious and interfaith ceremonies are equally welcome.

Is your date still free?
