Plumber & heating engineer in Dyce

Dyce runs on shifts. Between the airport, the industrial estates and offshore rotas, plenty of our customers here are only home at odd hours, so we offer 7am and early-evening slots as standard.

Local knowledge

What we see in Dyce homes

  • 01

    Appointments around rotas

Tell us your two-on, two-off or offshore rota and we will book servicing for when you are actually home, or arrange key access with a neighbour.

  • 02

    A real mix of housing

From 1960s homes in the village to newer estates towards Kirkhill and Pitmedden Road, we see everything from old open-vented systems to modern combis.

  • 03

    Frost pockets by the Don

Low-lying streets near the river get some of the hardest frosts in the city. We lag and protect external pipework as part of every install.

FAQs

Plumbing questions from Dyce

Northlight Plumbing & Heating

Serving Dyce from Unit 3, Northlight Works, 18 Tarn Quay, Aberdeen AB11 5XQ

I work offshore. Can you service my boiler while I am away?

Yes. Many Dyce customers leave a key with a neighbour or in a key safe. We send photos and the service report by email so you know it is done.

Do you offer same-day call-outs?

Yes. If you call before 2pm on a weekday we can usually have an engineer with you the same day, and genuine emergencies (no heating for a vulnerable person, a burst pipe or a suspected gas leak after you have called the National Gas Emergency line on 0800 111 999) are answered 24 hours a day. Typical arrival in the city is 45 to 90 minutes.

Do you cover Aberdeenshire as well as Aberdeen city?

Yes. Our engineers are based at Tarn Quay by the harbour and cover the whole of Aberdeen city plus Aberdeenshire out to Stonehaven in the south, Ellon in the north and Westhill and Echt to the west. Further afield, such as Banchory, Inverurie or Peterhead, we take planned work and will tell you honestly if an emergency is better served by someone closer.

Need a plumber in Dyce today?
